Anna is a Longmont native who grew up immersed in horse culture, learning alongside her father and developing a lifelong passion for horsemanship and breeding.
Over the years Anna has trained and competed across a wide range of disciplines including cutting, reining, roping, team penning, barrel racing, dressage, jumping, and trail riding. That breadth of experience means she can meet riders where they are and help them develop skills that transfer across any discipline.
Her teaching philosophy centers on building strong partnerships between horse and rider. Starting with the fundamentals of ground work, horse handling, and proper technique, and progressing at whatever pace works for each student. She welcomes riders of all experience levels, from complete beginners learning to halter and lead a horse to intermediate riders looking to refine their skills.
At Anna's Farm, the goal is simple, to help riders build confidence, develop real horsemanship, and enjoy a genuine connection with their horse.

Black Horse Equestrian has evolved after many years of teaching, training, and sales. Jennifer Audette, the owner operator, has been part of the equestrian world in New York, Colorado, Florida, and Wyoming. After running her lesson program, Fire Pony Stables in Longmont CO., for over a decade, Jennifer took a several year hiatus from working professionally in the equine industry. Establishing new roots in north Longmont, CO., she has begun coaching again, finding her way back to the niche of beginner riders to intermediate advanced students. Currently, Jennifer is established at Anna's Farm, a small private boarding facility for teaching and training.

James lives in Longmont with his wife and son, and his love for animals is evident in every aspect of his work on the farm. His gentle touch and natural understanding of horse behavior make him a trusted caretaker who ensures our animals receive exceptional care. James's commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment for the horses reflects the same values he holds dear in his family life, making him an essential part of our farm community.

Our farm wouldn't be complete without our beloved animal companions who add joy and personality to every day. Daisy and Gidget, our loyal farm dogs, can often be found patrolling the property, greeting visitors with wagging tails, and keeping a watchful eye on all the farm activities. Meanwhile, Kazu and Tiger Lilly, our resident cats, rule the barn with quiet confidence, expertly managing their rodent control duties while finding the perfect sunny spots for afternoon naps. Together, these four create the perfect balance of companionship, entertainment, and practical farm assistance that makes our property feel like a true home for both animals and humans alike.
